What is the AI Content Writer?

The AI Content Writer is a multi-step writing agent that takes a topic and produces a complete, SEO-ready article. It works in three stages: first it evaluates your research brief and fetches live web data, then it builds a structured outline, and finally it writes the full piece in your brand voice. You can review and steer every stage before moving forward.

How to Use the AI Content Writer

Step 1 -- Brand Setup: Choose your AI provider and enter your API key. Optionally add a search API key (Exa, Tavily, or Serper) for live web research. Enter your brand name and a short description so the agent writes in the right voice.

Step 2 -- Content Brief: Select content type (Blog Post, Social Media Caption, etc.), set word count and tone, then enter your topic and primary keyword. Paste any research notes or data you already have. Click "Evaluate Research" to start.

Step 3 -- Review Research: The agent evaluates your notes alongside live web results. Check the research summary and sources. If you are happy, click "Generate Outline". If not, regenerate with a different angle.

Step 4 -- Review Outline: Look over the proposed article structure including H1, all H2 and H3 sections, and suggested word counts per section. Add feedback to adjust the outline, or approve as-is and click "Write Article".

Step 5 -- Full Article: The complete article appears with a word count. Use the revision box at the bottom to refine specific sections. Click "Copy" to export the finished text.

Which AI Provider Should I Use?

Anthropic Claude is recommended for long-form blog posts because it follows complex multi-step instructions reliably. OpenAI GPT-4o is a strong alternative with fast response times. GitHub Models gives you free access to several top models using a personal access token. OpenRouter lets you pick from hundreds of models, including Perplexity Sonar which has built-in web search so you do not need a separate search API key.

Do I Need a Search API Key?

No. The tool works without any search API key. Adding one lets the agent pull live statistics and current data from the web before writing, which improves factual accuracy. Tavily offers 1,000 free searches per month. Exa AI uses neural search for higher-quality results. Serper gives you Google search data. If you use OpenRouter with a Perplexity model, live web search is built in -- no extra key needed.

Is My API Key Safe?

Your API key is stored only in your browser's local storage. It is sent from your browser directly to the AI provider via our server acting as a proxy -- we do not store or log it. You can clear saved keys from the tool interface at any time.
